Why Off-Ice Training = Better On-Ice Performance

Including a science based resistance training plan into your current training for hockey development is the is the piece of the puzzle that is missing. A hockey specific resistance training program is not based around common body building exercises, but rather resistance training exercises designed to help you skate faster, get stronger with your battles for the puck, and remain injury free.

TWIST Performance + Wellness has been training hockey players from Peewee to Pro for over 20 years.  Our world renowned High Performance Hockey Camps use a tested and proven blueprint to develop bigger, stronger and more explosive players that will be ready for tryouts and the duration of a long hockey season.  Our off-ice training includes dry land resistance training, balance training, and core specific exercises . Also included in our High Performance Hockey Camps is mindset training, nutritional lectures, and specifically designed recovery sessions that promote mobility and flexibility.

2020 spring off-ice training

Our 2020 Spring Off-Ice Training starts April 6, 2020 and is broken down into 3 phases.

  1. Movement Skill Acquisition & Development
  2. Speed, Strength & Athleticism
  3. Explosive Power Development & Energy Systems

The full program is 13 weeks, however, we have weekly options available for athletes who cannot commit to the full 13 weeks of training.
