A well planned resistance training program not only enhances your child’s health but also their performance in school and sports. Resistance training can help build a positive foundation for youth – they will learn how to move safely using correct body mechanics when they are exercising and this mind/ body connection will help them move better with new found confidence in both sport and their daily life.

The TWIST model of Long Term Athletic Development involves teaching and coaching athleticism, movement, balance, and strength at an age appropriate and skill based progression of programming in a variety of youth development and sport specific programs for youth ages 8-18, from beginner to elite.

SPEED, STRENGTH & ATHLETICISM (S2A) (Ages 8 - 17)

TWIST’s S2A program will improve their balance, joint stability, core control and strength while simultaneously developing their speed, strength, quickness and athleticism through continuous focus on skill execution and movement efficiency. It all starts in the brain, and building a strong neuromuscular foundation is key. This program is structured to build stronger, faster and more powerful athletes!
